Re: No-Name Baby is Here...

his name!!! Gotta edit the birth list

What seat did you have? What one did you try? What did you not like about them? (maybe I/we can offer some suggestions to help)

Re: No-Name Baby is Here...

Well, after purchasing three different car seats, we finally found a winner today. We bought an Alpha Omega; it didn't fit in the space I wanted, behind the driver. Then we bought a Graco baby bucket of some kind, it also didn't fit without hitting the eat and changing the angle. Then we bought a Safety First Air something, and although it finally fit the seat space, the slots were too high to rear-face properly.

So today, we drove 40 minutes away with a borrowed car seat to Babies R Us so we could try before we buy, and the first seat we tried worked: Graco My Ride 70 something? Odyssey? It fits the car AND it fits the baby.

Then we had almost $300 in carseats to return, grr. And did I mention I just had a baby? I overdid it today.

He is precious, congrats to all! Love the name, I was going to suggest Harley, since we just got a hedgehog and named him that, lol. Saw you had a blankie for Ezra with a lil hoggie on it and it just popped into my head, haha. We went to Ikea last weekend and hedgehogs were all over in the children's departments.

Oh goodness! Well, I've not played with the MyRide 70 (don't have it up here) but the standard MyRide is here and I really do love it!

SOO glad you got rid of the other ones, at least the AO and the safety first one - dorel/safety first seats tend to not fit newborns because of the harness slots, like you mentioned. They're definitely not the wonderful, all-you'll-ever-need seats they advertise them as.

Sounds like overdoing it to me - rest today!

Totally. My midwife visited with me yesterday after all that running around and my blood pressure and pulse were up, and my feet were swollen -- all above my baseline pregnancy numbers which have been super low. She asked, "Are you tired?" Totally!!!

But today I woke with a toothache , so I am going to have to call my dds. It's a tooth he fixed a cavitiy in 2 months ago .
