More Flats Love! - Ironing

So who here irons their flats?
And if you do, how often and why?

I vaguely remember someone mentioning in a previous post awhile back that she ironed her flats for health reasons and that comment has just stuck with me. Now I'm curious what everyone else is doing!

I think some people do because some flats get really ruffled edges depending on the brand/wash routine.

I hate ironing and will avoid it at all costs.

Um, not me. I don't even iron my DH's work shirts, there's no way I'm ironing diapers! Lol. I do think some people iron their flats because having the edges folded over or curled bothers them.

UGHHHHHH. I ironed all 24 of mine ONCE. They went right back to wrinkly edges next wash! I've found the best way to keep them semi-flat is to line dry them.

Health reasons? Like what ironing was calming to her? Really curious about this reason for ironing them...

As for me... I would rather do just about anything than iron so, no, never have never will...

I'm like pp, I don't iron DH's work shirts either. I HATE ironing!
Maybe the person in the other thread had an iron that got super hot and she steamed them hike ironing which killed bacteria??
I used to get aggravated with the edges until I started line drying. An as for making them sanitary I use bleach in every wash so no worries there.

I have heard of people ironing items that have been line dired due to insects laying eggs on them. Although I think this tends to be in countries other than the US.

When doing like the flats and handwashing challenge I think some ironed them bc that would like steam them and they dried super quick. :-) It was also said that would kill any bacteria that May be on them.

Re: More Flats Love! - Ironing

My grandmother and mother would iron flats to sanitize them. I wish I were in the habit of at least ironing DH's work shirts and pants.
