Re: For the love of reading ARPIL thread

It is a terrific book!

I just finished it up. Starring "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" tonight. I feel like a teenager again! I guess you're never too old for some things.

finished Mary Coin-- it centered on the fictionalized story behind "Migrant Worker" (photo taken by Dorothea Lange).

Well-written & interesting.

I am on hold for my other books so I am re-reading/gazing at the wonderful photojournalism books by Peter Menzel---Hungry World & What the World Eats.

Has anyone read Pecan Man?

Re: For the love of reading ARPIL thread

Since I last posted, I have finished HP & the Sorcerer's Stone as well as HP & the Prisoner of Azkaban and HP & the Order of the Phoenix. I'm currently about five chapters into HP & the Half Blood Prince. All in just under a week - I'm off to a good start, I think!

This is IMPRESSIVE!!!

I finished LIttle Altars Everywhere by Rebecca Wells and GAG I didnt get the plot (if it had one) at all. Probably wont be reading any of her's in the future. I did just start Gone w/ the Wind and am excited to read it! I am thinking it may put a kink in my playing catch up in my goal numbers but, maybe I wont be able to put it down

I have not even picked up my book in a few days. We have been so busy and I just have not felt like reading at night.

Thank you!

Gone With the Wind is looooong for sure but hopefully, as you said, you won't be able to stop it once you start. It wouldn't set you back then. I always get completely sucked into the story, although bits and pieces do seen a bit dull compared to the rest.

Re: For the love of reading ARPIL thread

Oh, I finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I'm reading them out of order because for some reason my local library didn't have the Chamber of Secrets or the Goblet of Fire and I just couldn't wait.

Anyway, I am now on book #4 (for me), HP & the Chamber of Secrets. I'm about eight chapters in.
