I just wanted to say congratulations to you again!! I know you'll be crazy about the new little one. I know so many grandparents would love to be able to see a new baby so much, even if only for a few weeks!

What do you think?

I was thinking a NB stash and then holding on to our stash (BG 4.0's BGE's and Flip system) to pass on to her.. Crazy I have a 2 year old that is about to be an Auntie.
I think you're awesome for even considering it. And I have a niece that is two years older than my youngest sister.

Absolutely. When my daughter was in diapers my FIL sent us cash monthly because he wanted to buy her diapers. She was in sposies at the time, but it was a super sweet gesture that I will never forget.

Re: Would you buy cloth for.....

I've bought cloth for my grand babies. My daughter failed cloth diapering on her now 5 year old so I used them when I was babysitting. She has a new baby now and is trying again. She uses about 6 diapers every 2 days and I pick them up and wash them to help encourage her. It's kind of ridiculous, but they'll be moving in for a month, so maybe it will 'take' then lol! First time around I was really in to it - I made a few pocket diapers and dyed some prefolds. I also made some prefolds into fitteds. They're cute and I can hardly wait to use them again when the new baby is big enough.

Congrats on a new grandchild!

No, I wouldn't. I would provide my children with a large check & let them decide how to prepare for their children & also start a college savings plan &/or stock portfolio for each new grandchild.

If you do, whatever you purchase needs to be easy to return for cash & include gift receipts. Gifts that cannot be easily returned are practically always horrible ideas.
