Ugh, advice needed...

So I ordered 7 used diapers in excellent condition from diaper junction. They showed up today packed in a priority flat rate envelope like a biscuit can about to burst. 7 FB elites with 14 inserts.

I had to cut open the package so I made a small snip in the corner and sure enough, cut the top diaper :bang head: so I know have a half inch slice out of the PUL up by the tab.

Is there any way to repair this? I am hoping because of the location I shouldn't have any massive leaks.

I'm a little frustrated with diaper junction for packing them in so tight, I really don't know how I would have gotten them out without damaging one. I know I got free shipping but I would have paid the shipping cost vs ruining a perfectly one diaper

I did the same with a stuffed package from another mama and I paid the shipping, so I really wish they would have packed it better. I would contact diaper junction if I were you. Good luck!

I wouldn't think it would affect function...but I would be frustrated. I'd definitely contact them!

I would contact them. I have received several tightly packed diaper packages, especially when I order several. Good luck!

I cut a pair of shorts once that I got off ebay once. Since then I always make sure I cut near the sticky... there should have been a spot between the tab folded down and the original bag. I generally pack things I ship tight but I make sure there is a space that is item free.

I could imagine cutting something as expensive as a diaper... so sorry! The shorts I put a patch over it.

So sad!!!

It is this very reason that I rip the edge with my fingers - like pop a hole in it.

Re: Ugh, advice needed...

I did that one time, and have since learned to open packages very very carefully. Sucks, but there's also a several dollar price difference to package it in something roomier. That's the kind of difference that adds up to a retailer shipping lots of packages.

Hopefully they'll understand your frustration, but I didn't have a very good customer service experience with an issue I had with them.

I tried this but they were literally packed so tight the tab was shaped like a half moon and they used a crapload of packaging tape over top to keep it closed. So I had to snip the edge because that's the only thing my scissors could grab ahold of

Lesson learned, I will definitely be more cautious in the future!

If they had to use that much tape too, it was overpacked. Contact the retailer. We too pack the heck out of boxes and envelopes but there is a limit and that sounds excessive.
