That always freaks me out to think about. We're always told the serious reaction usually happen within minutes. When in realty it can hours sometimes. We don't even know what happened with dd's 1st reaction. But we think her's was a delayed reaction too. It kind of takes a security blanket away. You think your safe once you made it past a certain time but your really not.
