Baby dropped - coming sooner rather than later?

I'm 35 1/2 weeks and baby has definitely dropped yesterday or today. Is this a good sign that the baby will come earlier rather than later or does it not mean anything at all? I really want the baby to come a little early, definitely not late cos I have to start my daycare up again beginning of July. I"m due June 2 so if he comes late I might only get two or three weeks with him.

That's impossible to say. My dd dropped overnight and my water broke the next morning at 35 weeks, so anything is possible. I would hope your baby would cook as long as possible though! my dd came out fine, but it was a long nervous labor worrying about her.

Mine's been in my pelvis since last Monday and nothing's happened yet. On Friday my doctor actually commented on how low it was. It's annoying and uncomfortable, but I keep telling myself it's less distance to push.

Yea. Impossible to say. My 1st dropped at 30ish weeks? Maybe 32 weeks. And he didn't come till 40 weeks.

Well, I guess I'll just enjoy that he's dropped. I"m so much more comfortable now. I can bend over and my back and belly don't hurt so much and my reflux is much better. I don't want him to come too early, just a week maybe.

Yup. Mine all drop and then just sit there for a couple months. When I asked my OB what it meant, she said, "It means you'll have a baby in the next 3 months."
