Aquaphor and grandma eli's isnt working

He is getting a quite red in his areas. We use prefolds and they are SUPER duper clean, so Im not worried about the wash routine. I believe its because of the heat. At home we go coverless/wear wool and it doesn't happen, but when Im out wool is to bulky to dress him. Im already trying to get a custom made of a woolie romper and woolie shorts but until then which barrier cream do you use that works on preventing the redness better?!

Coconut oil maybe? But really nothing works well if it's a heat issue. My two youngest are like this. Have you tried fleece liners? Loveybums covers are SUPER trim and we can wear them under clothes.

my ds gets rashes in cotton because its not stay dry and feels wet on his skin. try micro fleece liners between the prefold and his skin this works wonders for us. you can order the fleece liners or cut your own. the rash cream i like best is earth mama angel baby.. fixes redness in 1 diaper change

I use CJ's Butter for prevention on DD. It doesn't work as well though when I'm trying to get rid of preexisting redness.

Maybe you could try a more breathable cover than the ones you are using. Maybe a nylon cover like this one? http://www.cottonbabies.com/product_...products_id=97

We are using thirsties and I <3 the covers because of the poop accidents but these days it is just steaming HOT! I will try the liners and coconut oil and move on from there..

Do you think the ME airflow cover would allow more circulation?

Thanks for the advice!

If it just won't get better, get Calmoseptine ointment (NOT cloth safe so use a good liner.) That stuff heals everything. I get it from the pharmacy at Target. It is over-the-counter but they keep it back there.
