Alie is 2 days shy of 4 weeks!!! She goes 2-3 days without pooping then poops 2-3 times in one night, of course!

For those with diaper rash: mix plain mylanta or maalox with aquaphor. If that doesn't do the trick its probably yeast/staph/eczema!!

Re: Updates on Babies -- Add Yours

our april squishies!

Piper's rash seems to be getting better finally! I'm so happy about that! I was getting tired of crying myself every time I changed her diaper, lol.
Tried the lotrimin cream, that seemed to help a bit - and I put a little bit of bleach in the diaper wash as well. Then it seemed to stop working, so DH said we'll try just zinc cream. Just picked it up yesterday afternoon, and all ready this morning she's tons better! WOOT!
Also - we didn't clue in that piper and diaper rhyme - everytime we say "change Piper's diaper" we giggle, lol.

And I think we've figured out getting through nights with a dry baby (on the outside anyways, lol) - means a fitted + a stuffed pocket or an AI2 over top. 2 diapers?!! And they're both soaked first thing in the morning

Re: Updates on Babies -- Add Yours

Caleb is doing great. He is 15 days old today. We can't cloth diaper right now, though, because he has a red and raw diaper rash on his bottom our ped told me to use baby oil on a tissue to wipe up his stool (rather than wipes) and to continue to use desitin as a barrier. He has a ton of frequent very small and watery poops which is causing it...

Ellie is 4wks tomorrow. She still hasn't regained to birth weight(9lb10, she's 9lb3 today)but now the bigger concern is what is causing her cough. We've been in hospital with her since Friday, after Friday morning she had a coughing fit & turned blue. Tested negative for rsv & pertussis. We did discover a heart murmur, & last night they said they believe it's the left artery from her heart to lung is narrow. Waiting to hear from cardiologist. Hopefully we can get past this soon & get back to normal! Hope everyone's little ones are doing well!

She loves to make like she's whistling, so adorable. And she rocks boy's clothes! Her mommy is a super tom-boy.

Victoria is 4 weeks today. Her rash is finally almost gone. CJ's Butter Plus worked wonders for her in conjunction with California Baby Diaper cream.

I don't believe she lost any weight after birth. Birth was 5 lb 11 oz and on day 4, 6 lbs. She's probably up around 7 1/2 lbs at least, maybe more.

Sending good thoughts and prayers to figure out this issue! My second baby has an aortic stenosis and they found it soon after birth. It was scary -- the idea of having a sick newborn is frightening. We were well taken care of, and it sounds like you guys are, too.
