Rehabbing Bamboo

I use mostly Econappis and Blueberry Bamboo pockets for overnight diapers for my toddler, each stuffed with the Econappi/Blueberry bamboo insert and a hemp insert.

After about 9 months of use, the bamboo inserts are mildewing, the bamboo velour inners stink to high heaven, and I'm about to burn these things.

I have stripped the shells with Dawn using multiple techniques and have also used RLR and Mighty Bubbles. They are good for a few wearings, then back to foul.

I know how to take care of the inserts, but have no idea what to do with the shells.

I should note that I don't have a single problem with anything else in our varied stash.

Re: Rehabbing Bamboo

I'd bleach and then give them a very good sunning?
