Has anyone tried this Ergo lookalike?

My son is nearly 2 and I just can't use the ring sling anymore, he's too squirmy and I always need to have one hand on him to make sure he doesn't squirm his way out. I don't want to drop big bucks on an Ergo because he's my last baby and I'm not sure how much longer he will happily be carried. We are going on vacation this summer and it will involved quite a bit of hiking so I want to get something similar to the Ergo that won't kill my back. I did a search for "Ergonomic Baby Carrier" on Amazon and came up with this carrier by Dreamland Tree:

It seems to have good reviews but I thought I would see if anyone on here has tried it.

Re: Has anyone tried this Ergo lookalike?

I've seen this carrier being sold locally, on craigslist. They seem like a knock-off of the Ergo (not a counterfeit, but definitely a copycat version).

If you stalk craigslist every day for a Ergo, within a month you should find some on sale for $30 or less. I've seen EUC Ergos priced from $15 to $40 on a regular basis in my area, some even including accessories. Many folks just price to get rid of it - or they were given it by someone so don't care about its retail value.

Re: Has anyone tried this Ergo lookalike?

I have been religiously stalking Craigslist for a few weeks and even the $75 Ergo's go quick!

That same carrier goes on ebay for around $15-$20 straight from China. I ordered one to deconstruct and it was made ok but the fabric was REALLY poor quality.

I was wondering about those too. Thanks for letting us know about the fabric quality. Sounds like a decent carrier but wouldn't hold up under frequent use.
