Re: August 2013 weekly chat ~ April 21-27

OK thanks! that makes sense.

Missy- When I make stuff I do not expect it to look like the items I see for sale. lol As long as it still functions that all that really matters in the end, imho.

Just got ds to sleep, and all I want to do is take a nap, but dh will be home soon and he's so loud during lunchtime! Plus I promised to work on his claims today. I need to make meatballs for dinner, as well. I did finish the scrubbies at least. Guess I should think about making some lunch soon. blah.......

I am waiting for DS to take a nap today. I know that the Fed Ex guy is coming today (sadly nothing for me, yet it is heavy) and he will wake up DS when he comes. However if he is already awake, no need to worry about that! Besides moving his nap time has NO effect on when he goes to bed at night, just what his mood is when he goes. So I fail to see what the advantage is for me to put him down now.

Missy - my older sis showed me how to knit and purl, but that was it. I've learned everything else by watching videos on knittinghelp.com or youtube. I still don't feel like I'm a great knitter and the hat that I just finished for DH was the first time that I couldn't pretty quickly tell that there was something wrong with what I knitted. I frequently have to go back and watch videos over again because I forgot how to do something or haven't learned it yet. I'm still kind-of learning as I go, but I've found that it can be relaxing and I feel productive at the same time.

AFM: I've finished the crotch on the baby's soaker! I'll try to put it in the round later tonight after church, but if I don't get to it....no biggie. JUST got kids down for a nap and DH has come home to weed-eat the yard. Fingers crossed that he doesn't wake up the kids!

yeah but I have a ton of dress patterns already that I don't use

I'm thinking I may want the hangout hoodie and the playdate v neck.

I like the hopscotch...but wish it didn't have buttons down the back.

Back from art and never made it to wal-mart like I needed to. I was going to pick up some dog food and some dreft to start washing things up for baby. But instead my oldest threw up in my car. Lovely right. I even asked him if he was going to be sick and he said no. Oh well, got it cleaned up and everything in the wash that I could put in there.

She has cute swimsuits too though! You could really have fun! And I love the little shoes for girls! Sadly my children are born with skis on so I can only do so many shoes.

About the Hopscotch pattern. I have found, in my experience, anything that looks cute for a girl (be it tiny or big girl) is hard to get on. So I would get that pattern and use it as a learning experience for your daughter.
