Basically it's Monday

We are a group of parents that chat and support each other.
We have been at this for a while so some of us are out of the diapering stage.
...some were out and are back in again.
Every once in a while we actually get to answer a diaper question or two in here.
If you are looking for a very diverse and open group come on over and chat.

Re: Basically it's Monday

Yesterday was rough. I did too much over the weekend and paid for it yesterday. I'm not doing great today either but today I have to get up and get on with it regardless of how I feel.

A few strong painkillers, chin-up, and forwards!

I got the kids up, dressed, and out the door on time.

I've emptied/reloaded the dishwasher.
Tidied half the kitchen.

That's it...I'm done-in.

I'm having a cup of coffee and then I have to get ready for work. I need to pop into town for Fynn's sunglasses but it's not dire. If I'm too tired it'll keep.

Yummy burger Jen! We got a bunch of Anaheim chiles yesterday so I will have to roast those. I think I am going to make them into rotel tomatoes and freeze them (I got 25lbs of tomatoes too )

Good morning I know many of you are early risers... Here I am awake just after 5am. Too early for me, hehe! Wish I could get back to sleep but my brain is abuzz. I suppose I'll start the day and maybe nap later.

Jen, your burgers sound awesome. Bolognese over rigatoni and green salad here for dinner.

On the agenda... Housework, school, and I'd like to go pick up some mulch for the flowerbeds. Found a free source, yay!

Have fun Kari.

I am excitted about the burgers. Been a while since we made them

Jerry is facing an icky job at his Mom's today. We decided with MIL yesterday that he is going to empty out EVERYTHING in both bathrooms and the laundry room. Toss EVERYTHING and start from scratch. The problem is she cant read labels and with 70billion little bottles of stuff she doesn't know if she is putting on lotion or soap. So he will clean everything out. Bring home all the laundry. I am making visual labels for the toiletries and we will simplify down to a bar of soap, a container of lotion, a bottle of shampoo, a bottle of conditioner and NOTHING else. This will help take care of a lot of the skin issues she has been having.

Could she use a shampoo/conditioner all-in-one?

Re: Basically it's Monday

I like the idea of simplifying the bathroom. I want to do that too. Our shelves in the bathroom are full of stuff. Not my stuff though....Heiner buys all different smellies and shower gels I only use the unscented stuff and I have a special shampoo. My make-up is all in one little bag.

The next thing I want to do is sort out the storage for the kids clothes....we were thinking of taking out our wardrobes and putting them downstairs in the "dressing room" and then getting something that fits better for our room. Then taking the towels out of the bathroom and storing them in our room. Only having the towels that are being used in the bathroom. Then we'd have a big cupboard free for wash stuff and make-up. Much nicer than having it all on a make-shift shelf I bodged from bits of wood and cardboard tubes 11 years ago.
