Re: Basically it's Monday

The cake was cooked in this pan:

and I am using a star tip decorating bag of frosting to cover it. Thousands of little stars. Cuz I'm a putz. And then it will all be covered up with TMNT figures climbing all over it. Ian doesn't like coloring icing, only chocolate but still wants themed cakes.

I found pretty distinctive pics on Google images that will work. I will print them and Jerry will put them on the bottle as needed with packing tape, like a new label

Oh and my parents are 76 and 77 and read just fine with their glasses. My Mom actually has a lesser prescription since her cataracts surgery

I've noticed recently that I read much better without my glasses...but I still have to read with them on because I cant see the kids if I take my glasses off.

Hooray for Monday being almost done! Yippee!! Had a very busy day. The party for the Grade 2s went off without a hitch and many people thanked me for if after, which was great. Most of my students got done their math tests, though quite a few struggles with some parts. Subtraction with borrowing isn't an easy concept for most! Ru and E are at dancing, and tonight is leftover meatballs for supper. Easy-peasy.

Cool idea about the visual labels Jen. When will L be out of the hospital?

I've struggled to teach that to Shannon too. Eventually I used little (Maths) blocks to help her understand it better. I put the H-T-U on a piece of paper and then the blocks to represent the question. It seemed to work.

Yes, we use T-O blocks to help them do it, and I ask that they draw the tens and ones on their tests as well. I still have kids that don't "get" it, though, and forget to regroup and move tens or ones and then get all confused. Fun fun!

Glad to here she made it out Jen!
