It shouldn't cause contractions. I did it at night, and used a liner cause it does kinda spill out sometimes. I had 1,000mg I think and did 2 tablets.

I did 1 tablet and no, I don't know of any complications. Unless you're GBS+, I seem to remember there being a reason why you're not supposed to do any vaginal insertions (except DTD) if you are.

I'd be worried about getting an infection, even though I'm not prone to vaginal infections, it still seems scary.

no contractions, and make sure to poke a hole in the capsule before putting it in. And YES, wear a pad or something

Re: adverse reactions to epo?

I was inserting 2-3 each night by 38weeks. It never made me feel anything.

ETA: I never poked them either, and they dissolved just fine

I was told not to poke a hole in mine and they dissolved just fine.

Re: adverse reactions to epo?

if youre GBS+ you should throw in a garlic oil pill instead of the epo. off-topic, but there are things you should insert if you have strep! garlic will kill it in lieu of antibiotics, you can be re-tested after using garlic oil for a week, and voila!

epo will dissolve, do it at night before bed- and no risk of infection, just make sure your hands are clean/nails are short and clean for insertion.
