trifold or booster? and fyi it will compression leak if you don't pair it with an absorbant fabric or you'll need a lot of layers to work but trifold I use 1 topped with cv or oc fleece
doublers are same only I make 1 snake style and 1 booster

I've also had success with 2 layers of flannel also, both my kids in dipes are heavy wetters so I tend to go bamboo or cotton fleece

Before you go Zorb... I have to say, that Hemp/Bamboo Fleece trumps everything. And I mean everything. I've gone through microfiber, hemp fleece, heavy bamboo fleece, organic cotton fleece, Zorb and Zorb II... but nothing absorbs like Hemp/Bamboo fleece blend. I know Nature's Fabrics sells it in the 16oz weight, however you can get the thicker stuff from Simplifi on etsy and they have a 10% discount if you order 6 yards. For a pocket diaper, I would do 3 layers, max of 4 layers. Make sure to prewash it before sewing as it does shrink a bit. But you'll never go back to anything else. I have the heaviest, fastest wetters ever. They pee like horses. This is what I make my fitted inserts from and top them with bamboo velour. It is <3. Bamboo charcoal fleece is such a joke - a gimmick. It's basically organic cotton fleece with bamboo soot. You lose all of the properties of bamboo this way and its in such a small amount.

I have the same issues plus both are tummy sleepers so we have converted over to all bamboo stretch French terry from natures fabric because it is 20 oz a yard so soft stays soft and fleece to me is a rip off as it is French terry just brushed on one side causing fibers to come loose thus less absorbant love it our hemp got way too stiff and was causing happed thighs ;(
