Fabric for unpaper towels?

What kind of fabrics would you use for unpapertowels? Where is the cheapest place to purchase said fabric?

Birdseye or flannel. Finding a co-op would be the cheapest way to buy.

I am using Imagine flats and cutting them in half. Or quartering them for smaller ones. This way I don't have to hem all edges just the raw edges from the cutting.

Lol, I also use old flats. It's kinda funny because no one knows they are my daughter's old diapers. Is that gross that I re-used them? They are so easy to wash. I have seen the fancy unpaper towels and it's the same weird flannel prints as Joanns carries. They often have good sales.

I just buy super cheap washcloths in packs at Target. I have dyed mine pretty colors so they are not all boring white.
