My baby is a chunksters! Need help with decision.

So my 6 month old is a big girl with a huge thighs! I found some diapers that don't quite fit her but might later if she slims down. Would you save them? Or sell them and get ones that fit better. And hopefully continue to fit her.

If you need more diapers that fit right now then I would sell them. If you have enough now and you like the diapers than I would hold onto them and hope. Once she is walking she will probably slim down a little though it could be awhile, my dd is 15 months with chunky thighs and still not walking.

I generally have gigantic babies but then they slim down. She is already pulling herself up so I am sure she will walk early like her brothers. I got a bunch coming so maybe I will keep them and if she doesn't slim then I will sell. Ugh.. They are so cute though.

Hey just curious, What diapers have worked for your LO? My Lo is 7 months and quite chunky and I am finding that his thighs are getting red marks with the diapers I have tried so far. ( Sorry for hijacking your post)

They sometimes still leave marks but they aren't as bad others we have tried. I use bumgenius freetime, flips and grovia aio. The grovia are the best because they aren't as wide so that extra roll of leg fat isn't in the diapers. The flips are good too because I use a thin hemp insert and they aren't as fluffy making them less right. I love my gdiapers but they leave whole pouch red marks so I am just going to use them as backup (not as bad with a thin hemp insert though.

I have also noticed that my preloved diapers work better because on the new ones the elastic is so good.

Applecheeks are awesome for chunky thighs!!! I was dealing with the same problem 4 months 20lbs 13in thighs have tried like 8 diff brands!!! And Applecheeks and BG have been the most gentle besides prefolds and wraps simplex and Basix are nice too! I heard tots bots are good to so I made a trade to try one

Re: My baby is a chunksters! Need help with decision.

My dd was all thighs/butt at 6 months, it was like putting diapers on a basketball. I sold off a bunch of old style BGE's b/c they left big red marks. Well, around 7 months she slimmed down like over night. So, I regret selling those, I really liked them and they would probably work fine now. I never did find anything special in the meantime, just wasted my paypal trying more things I am going to end up selling. What worked? Prefolds and covers I had left over from my other two kids.

I have found that snappi'd prefolds and Blueberry OS covers never leave marks. My older Thirsties with relaxed gussets also do not leave marks. I hate those deep red marks, I don't remember dealing with those on my other two so to me it seems like a poor fit. Anything that still leaves marks now at 8 months is getting sold.

I personally would keep them, unless you need to money from a sale to buy more that fit now. I'm finding that as my baby's body shape changes, I use different brands that we already own more or less
