Sorry about the rough morning, Jenn and Janine!

I woke up a bit grumpy, but am feeling better now. We're coming down from a long weekend with a mouthy 7-yr-old. Jake is definitely going through an emotional/developmental change. We're all trying to figure out how to cope. I was also feeling grouchy because this weekend Jim was supposed to help me with a few tasks that my belly just won't allow me to do, and he never got around to it. Frustrating, but oh well. Nothing worth getting my panties in a bunch about, I guess.

As usual, my lofty to-do list is longer than I have time or energy for, but there it is nonetheless. Hoping to get a chunk of it done at least!

WFD: chicken taco salad
J is also getting a little attitude-y lately. I think he is about a month or so younger than Jake, so I can relate. It's nothing overwhelming here because he is really good about keeping himself in check but sometimes he talks with a sharp edge in his voice, through clenched teeth, or really sarcastically and I don't like it.

We had chicken tacos yesterday and the kids actually liked it!

It can be bacon or sausage. They are

I never thought of making our own. Do you freeze them all assembled and then reheat?

So glad the kids liked the tacos! We had chicken tacos on Saturday... mama mind meld! So we're using the leftover meat to have chicken taco salads tonight.

I also love breakfast sandwiches. My fave is with homemade whole wheat biscuits, cheddar cheese, and egg cooked with onion/bell pepper. In fact, we're having THAT for dinner at some point this week. We're big fans of breakfast for dinner around here!

A bunch of my bb friends freeze breakfast burritos too. I want to do that. I tried croissant sandwiches and the croissant didn't hold up. I think English muffins would work better. I like the light jimmy dean ones with turkey sausage

We've been dealing with the none-to-pleasant tones of voice from all of the kids for a while now. It's hard. I hate it.

Re: Basically it's Monday

Honestly Shannon struggles with how to speak on a daily basis. She tends to be aggressive or über sweet (like piling in on thick sweet)... I remind her that's not nice or to just use a normal voice and she can usually correct herself but it's not something that comes easily to her.

Derry is either really quiet or raging with anger from deep down that would scare anyone else that saw it.

Cami is just cheeky all the time at the moment. It's not fun

Fynn is a misch-mash of all three of the girls with a smattering of "toddler-three's" included. He is so open to their attitudes, it's sad.

I hope it gets better with time but all I can do is to keep reminding them how they should be.

Ok...,Time for bed for me I've stayed up far too late again.

l know I should go to bed earlier but I get so caught up in whatever I'm doing that going to bed is just impossible,

Anyway.... I hope you all have a lovely relaxing evening and can get a good nights sleep.

With a bit of luck we might all have a belter day tomorrow.

everyone!

Re: Basically it's Monday

Sleep well Janine.

I am home, shopping completed. 2 week meal plan completed. I have a tiller in the back of my car to till up the garden! This weekend we may plant some seeds!

Need to get motivated to put away the groceries and start dinner (grilled sammies and soup)
