Nope just took a day off to spend time with the littles and get stuff done at home. I don't have a lot of free time, and we are expecting company in a couple weeks and possibly this weekend too.

Re: Basic Tuesday

Next holiday here is the last Monday in May, that is Memorial Day.

I am proctoring testing, it is not a security freaky as the state assessment.

I had a productive morning at home, and I needed it. got two loads of laundry washed, one dried. Dishes washed, dinner planned for Jerry and MH since I wont be home tonight.

Jerry was going to soak the garden area one more time this morning and till again so hopefully he is working on that. We may actually plant some seeds this weekend.

Wow, Cheryl, sounds like your neighbor isn't thinking ahead.

Yay for feeling better, days off, and new steamers!

Just a regular day around here today. Laundry, school, then a few errands. I have some leftover beans that I'd like to make into burritos for the freezer. Gonna have the kids help me make cheesy broccoli soup for lunch. Meatball sandwiches for dinner

Nothing too exciting going on!

Re: Basic Tuesday

I am jealous of the steamer and your dinner.

I know I planted our garden too early but so far it seems to be okay.

I left a note at our old house yesterday explaining that a chair I ordered might wind up on their doorstep, sure these people would think I am crazy. But I talked to them on the phone today, and they are super nice. And had lots of questions about the landlord. Needless to say I gave them an earful and offered to testify on their behalf if needed at the end of their lease. They were just glad to have validation that he was a psycho freak.

The steamer is great! Our dinner was delicious. I just set it up... and then turned it on about 30 mins before I thought we would want to eat, turns out I was a bit too quick off the mark. Dinner was ready before Heiner and Derry were back from PT.

But that wasn't a problem. It has a keep warm button which keeps the food warm for 30 mins. lt was only going for a few minutes but it worked well.

The bottoms of two of the trays are removable... so I can steam larger items like a whole chicken or a whole cauliflower... or a Christmas pudding.

It even has a spout for adding water during the cooking time without having to touch the hot trays.

We had strawberries with ice cream for dessert. Yummy!

You dinner sounds so good Janine. Yum yum yum!!

We are having steak, cilantro-lime rice and asparagus here. Should be ready shortly.

Hope you got some rest today Cecilia. I was definitely feeling like I needed to take a day tomorrow, but now I think I might be alright after all.

I have never had any success making biscuits Bekah. I guess I should try your recipe!
