Re: lady and the tramp movie??

I don't think Over the Hedge is a Disney movie. Some of the non-Disney movies have some low class humor in them. In general I don't care for them, like Madagascar or Ice Age, however I really love Disney's Pixar movies.

Most children's stories are pretty gruesome. They almost always kill of a parent because then there is more room for a story. Read some of the real Brother's Grimm, they can be pretty nasty. I personally love the Lion King, but it's too scary for small kids. I don't see anywhere that they make fun of people who are different, I thought they were making a point of finding friends in strange places. I guess everybody interprets things differently.

Don't feel bad, I thought that's what he said too! I hit rewind a couple of times and finally figured it out. I'm a little slow I guess...

Re: lady and the tramp movie??

In Toy Story, Buzz says "oh S*iT". It's during the part when Woody is trying to help him get in the moving van lol.

And on Aladdin, you can hear him say "Good girls take off their clothes"...something like that.

And in The Little Mermaid...the preist is a bit "excited" in one part...if you catch my drift.

LMBO Sandy that is hilarious...it's "Pidge" like the PP's mentioned...but I can totally see how it could sound like something else!

I guess it really does depend on each individual person. I bought Brother Bear and ended up giving it away before I ever let James see it. I really don't like how the moose go back and forth calling each other stupid. That is not a word we use in our house. I've only just starting letting the boys watch Little Mermaid, I think it is a bit violent but they like it a lot.
I do like the Lady and the Tramp and Bambi though. I few scary scenes but not anything too bad for them to handle.

Re: lady and the tramp movie??

Pidge is short for Pidgeon. It's just what the tramp calls lady. Confuses James though.

The only ones we watch right now are lil Mermaid, Monsters Inc (MIL bought it and it doesn't scare James), Lady and the tramp, Bambi and Finding Nemo, except that one scares the pee out of Luke, well just the part with the scuba diver not the rest.
I've heard good things about toy story and James also saw Chicken Little at school.

Re: lady and the tramp movie??

I wouldn't let my kids see Chicken Little. It is very scary at the end, all kinds of blowing stuff up and tons of violence. We actually don't let the kiddos watch too many movies, bcs even the ones that are "G" are sometimes questionable. As far as the little "extras" in Disney movies, I don't fault Disney as a company, just a few artists who thought it might be funny to see what they could get away with. I think that there are probably a lot that have never been caught. Walt is probably turning in his grave!
