My Mood:
opinions on my newborn stash please

Ok so I'm due in July. So far I have:
12 nb swaddlebees
2 blueberry minis,
1 nb Alva with snaps but ordered 5 more with Velcro
6 small babykicks premiums hemp inserts
10 preemie prefolds
24 Indians infant prefolds,
3 thirsties xsmall cover
1 kanga wetbag
1 planetwise wetbag to fit pail
1 bumkins diaper sprayer
15 snappies overboard I know
2 Alva wetbags for diaperbag

I'm a little scared of wool due to pricing and work involved but am curious about it.
Thanks for all feedback

Re: opinions on my newborn stash please

i think you sound set up for your little newborn! i haven't taken the wool step yet, but let me tell you about fleece!! it works great! it's great for overnight and daytime, it's budget friendly and easy to make if you have basic sewing skills. hope that helps, and congrats.

Looks great! That's a LOT of snappis. I think at any time the most I have ever had was 4-5 which was much more than I needed. Wool is VERY easy to use so don't be intimidated. My personal preference though is to use fitteds under wool for the newborn stage. I might recommend a few more newborn covers as well.

Oh my goodness, 15 snappies! I have 2 and that's enough for us. But I do want to get a couple pairs of boingos.

Wool is super easy especially if you are just doing it at night. Disana soakers are one of the more affordable options and you can size up so it fits a bit longer.

You certainly have plenty of changes with all of the pockets and all in ones, but if you really want to get to use all 24 prefolds between washes you will probably need more than 3 covers, since newborns can be pretty messy. EBF poo seems to get the cover every time.

Re: opinions on my newborn stash please

I would go for more covers too...right now I have 25 fitteds and 10 covers as I expect the poop to get on the covers most of the time. I have 15 AIO's too, but I think I am set. I was super practical and bought the whole stash on FSOT except for one awesomely cute little Rainshine Designs AIO that I just couldn't resist (girl's gotta have something new to her right??)

I would say you'll probably need about 3 more covers. Otherwise it looks great!

You sound set! I had a lot less than you and we were fine. You really shouldn't need wool until your LO is a little older. gl!
