Tips for using mama cloth?

Anyone have any tips on successfully using mama cloth? I'm finally getting my first postpartum period now that my daughter is almost 8 months old. So far cloth isn't my friend, lots of leaks/shifting/etc., but I really want to make it work! Who is your favorite wahm pad maker? What is your favorite heavy flow pad for the beginning of your period? I've tried menstrual cups and they weren't comfortable for me across all the brands and sizes, so pads it is! I think maybe part of the frustration is that I was a tampon user, so pads just feel so messy to me, but I'm trying to get over it. Thanks for the advice!!

I like Homestead Emporium Ultimax for heavy days. I need a long pad. I'm finding that zorb works well for me since I tend to gush (IUD made for heavier periods). Shifting and bunching would mean that your pads doesn't fit your underwear. Try ones with a narrower crotch or two snap widths (Treehugger makes those as do others). Or a really contoured pad like Go with the Flo.

I use gem cloth. She's on here, great to work with, and reasonable prices. Never had a shift or a leak. I do use the overnight on "gushing" days.

I use Talulah Bean and haven't had any problems with them.

I use Pink Lemonade, but I pair it with a Lunette Cup so I guess I'm not much help.

My favorites for a heavy flow are talulah bean baby moons. They're only 11", but super full coverage yet thin and discreet. My favorite light/regular pads are tree huggers, and my favorite liners are OBV ones from the essence of eve.

Have you looked into sea pearls? They are sponges you use like tampons.

Or you could use washable tampons.

If none of those options are appealing I use pads from The Silver Liner in minky for overnight and heavy. For shifting I recommend wearing little tighter than usual underwear for bedtime like a stretchy lycra.

I love Talulah Bean as well. The baby moon ones have really good coverage and they have two snaps. I find the minky doesn't slide around whereas the knit does.
