Antibody K pregnancy?

I am 6 weeks pregnant. When I went into my OB appointment today she said that my lab work shows that I've developed the antibody K (most likely through a series of blood transfusions after my last delivery). I've spent time with Dr Google and am overwhelmed and scared. We have to meet with a geneticist ASAP so we are still waiting on some information. Anyone ever gone through this and have some wisdom/experience to share?

I didn't know what this was so I looked it up. Sounds like you will have a LOT of monitoring! I found this thread (which I hope is ok to share) from a few years ago but has some great info! And since it was a few years ago maybe there are different options now? With the success stories on this thread, and even some statistical info, it sounds like everything should be ok...you will just have a lot of dr visits. Good luck with everything!!!

The baby's father needs to be tested. If he is not a carrier of the Kell protein, then there is no increased risk, and you can continue your pregnancy without any additional monitoring. If the baby's father is a carrier, then there will need to be more testing or monitoring.

That makes me feel a ton better. I am trying to get in with the specialist this week, so hopefully we can get my husband tested ASAP.
