LOL! We rent a new kid's movie every week at the library since my oldest starting dropping her nap and do the same thing

Re: Time for each other

This thread convinced me it was time to get a nice phone so we could at least chat a bit more during the day to feel a bit more connected, and I could send him pics and such. I'll have to think about all the other suggestions. Some things are so much easier said than done, unfortunately... Thanks everyone!

Too true! I can tell you I never thought a babysitter for date night was worth it. But fast forward a few years and some marital problems and it made me realize you HAVE to find time to stay connected as a couple. Whatever that looks like for you.

Re: Time for each other

I put the kids to bed around 7-8pm every night.

I don't care so much if they are in bed quietly, so long as they are QUIET.

And that is my time with DH. We typically stay up until 10-11. That's OUR time. If the kids start whining or complaining, etc. I tell them I've been with them all day and now it is Mommy and Daddy's turn to have some time to sit and talk to each other. now "GO TO BED!"

lol.
