Broken Snappi after 3 months. normal?

My son is 3 mo old now and the Snappi we've been using since birth is breaking. The part that you pull on - and that also slips over the teeth as a protector- is broken on one head, is breaking on a second and is weak on a third.

We use prefolds about 80% of the time so it gets a lot of use but this seems a little fast! These things are almost $3 a pop!

What are your experiences w these things?

You're not supposed to pull on that part, you're supposed to pull on the wide center piece. The thin loop is only as a safety measure to cover the teeth. I know it's counter-intuitive to not pull on that part, but if you do it'll break since it's so thin.

Seconded. I have used my snappi's for over a year, but the other day I grabbed the teeth protector loop thingie instead of the tab and the loop broke. Its pretty thin so I can see why.

I still have snappis that I bought used when my 8 year old was a baby. I still use them when my pretty new ones are Mia.

I think they hold up well. I still have some I bought 4 years ago! I did have one once that broke in that spot, but I figured it was wear and tear.

Yeah this. I haven't used them YET , but my cousin has had hers for over a year and they seem to be holding up quite well.

Get boingos. They're incredibly durable.

Funny how different everyone's experiences can be. I've had snappis for three years. My boingos broke after a month.

Re: Broken Snappi after 3 months. normal?

I think they made a new style boingo as when I bought mine it said they had updated them to be stretchier and more durable.

Am not a fan of snappis durability and the way they fit. The boingos look way more durable. They are way bigger than they looked in the pictures online so I was shocked when I got them. And they are very thick. Haven't tried them yet though as babies not here.

Now if only I could work out where you are meant to grab them to put them on and off as they don't have the little ring pulls like snappis...
