Question about nutrition past one year.

If i choose to wean at one year, do i have to give formula to my baby? Or can she survive fine on solids and her daily vitamins (weve done blw since six months, she eats an extremely varied diet!)? At what age can she go without formula or bm?

I am struggling to decide if i want to continue bfing past one year or if i want to wean. if i have to give her formula in addition to her solids, i wont wean her.

Re: Question about nutrition past one year.

There's no need for formula past one year if she is eating food. Source: my pediatrician MIL. I have a 1 year old and we're starting to try to wean, up until now EBF with some solids.

DS self weaned at about 14 months, and we switched him to regular whole milk in addition to his solids. No problems here! I don't think there's any need for formula past the one year mark.
