WAHM or sewing mama

I am looking for a mama to make some strange diapers
I want a very thin (two layered maybe) fitted shell so to speak. I want to use separate inserts

I want the fit to be narrow in the crtoch (but obviously not too narrow so that it will still hold the inserts ) I heard sbish is narrow, but any pattern will do.

I don't want the leg openings serged preferably.

Since this will only hold the inerts/flats/prefolds I am looking for something cheap, since I still have to invest in the other parts of the diaper.

I was thinking birdseye fabric for ease of cleaning, but am open to other ideas. Knit might be nice too since it will stretch to accommodate the inserts

I hope that makes sense, please pm with questions or interst

I'm not actually looking for covers. Some people use stuff able fitteds, so I want something very thin that will hold my prefolds or flats. I will be using wool over that as a cover.

Is this kinda what you are looking for? I came across this thread a couple of weeks ago and have it saved for when I have my LO.

If this is what you are looking for, having the pics might help someone know exactly what you want.

I've made several of these if what I'm thinking is what you're thinking I used 2 layers of knit so they could be snappi'd or pinned, and stretchy so they have a nice snug fit. Then I made my own inserts (you could use a washcloth, prefold, whatever) to lay in. I love them!

Re: WAHM or sewing mama

Hi, I tried to pm you back but your inbox is full. Thought Id reply here.
I'd be happy to make you one. What size are you needing? I have cute cotton knit prints, bamboo velour, organic cotton flee pec, and hemp French terry. I can do front snap, side snap, or no closure. It could have a pocket to stuff your inserts in or just be a fitted diaper shell. Let me know what you are thinking and I can give you prices. I can do turned or turned and topstitched (can show you pictures of both if you want). Thanks!!! Oh I also have a pro cool interlock fabric in white that would feel dry (wicks moisture, would be great as a "pocket fitted inner")... It would work well as well but ONLY if you use snap diapers only. Because of the nature of the fabric it snags on Velcro.
Just let me know if I can help and Thanks for asking me.

I bet a ritas rump pocket would work perfectly. That is the first diaper most of us attempt, so you should be able to find several people that can make them.

Just looked at the link above. They used the rita's rump pocket also, and just closed up the pocket.

I have the LaDiDa pattern I use, and I basically do the same thing with 2 layers of upcycled tee shirts, washes super easy, line drys easy, and gives me a fitted at a far better cost! What size and how many? I'm not technically a WAHM, I don't have a store, but I sell snack bags from time to time, and I've been sewing for eons.
