Re: Breast or bottle in a restaurant?

I would breastfeed unless I wanted a bit more freedom being out to dinner an all ,then I would bottle but that is the only reason Id bottle feed instead.

When DD was about two months and we went out with my parents to a restaurant I brought a bottle. It was more hassle than it was worth. After that, I just decided to nurse. It's easier, more convenient, no prep required. I've learned to be pretty discreet without actually using a cover.

Re: Breast or bottle in a restaurant?

with my oldest I was so like I will just go hide in car or something. I have since moved and have had 2 kids and talked with other seasoned moms around me that are like baby needs fed just feed baby...I am more open and like I have seen here I breastfeed openly WITHOUT (for emphasis not yelling) cover as it ends up being used to block my sight or to play peak a boo...

Target display rocker, restaurants.....no bathroom stalls for me.... Rosa Parks or breastfeeding.

I think one restaurant that my fil suggest we ask on breastfeeding said, " They need to eat too so by all means breastfeed the baby because a fed baby is happy baby". I was so glad to hear that so that is my thinking if we go out to eat...

Re: Breast or bottle in a restaurant?

I use a cover at restaurants, but thats not cause i really care who's looking, but because its more confined and i feel less comfortable. I I gave him the bottle, I'd just be engorged and need to pump later, seems silly to me.....

Go for it! I have three kids and have never given any of them a bottle. They have never had a bottle in my presence. I figure I'm doing my part to normalize breastfeeding by nursing them wherever and whenever they need to nurse.

Ditto! I nurse in public and don't care who sees! I had a cover with my second and only used it once and that was only bc we were in a restaurant and some old guy sitting across from us kept looking at my boob as I was trying to get ready to nurse!
