Let's start a petition

I say we outlaw the first trimester. I don't hate being pregnant but I can't think of one single fun thing about first tri.

There's the "morning" sickness which is the biggest, cruellest lie ever told to women. I'm sick all dang day. My skin is an absolute disaster until about 15 weeks. I'm tired. I'M SO TIRED. I don't even have a cute baby bump. In fact, there is nothing cute about me at all for the first four months.

So yeah. Let's just skip to the not-as-bad parts.

You know, I get really jealous because people always talk about like oh newborn is the best, all they do is sleep, they're easiest to travel with, etc.

I love my ds more than life itself but I can comfortably say he was a NIGHTMARE as a newborn. Maybe this one will be normal. Please God.

Re: Let's start a petition

Yeah, unfortunately for me this go around I would have to skip the entire pregnancy to avoid "morning sickness" aka every day/all day nausea from about 6 weeks pregnant and still going strong despite meds. Plus I have already gained as much weight as I did in total in my other pregnancies and still have 9 weeks to go! I am officially done having kids, this time has done me in, DH had the snip already!

Yep, I'm with everyone else. I'm 17w3d and still miserable. Probably will be the whole time. My other 2 I had a month or 2 of feeling decent (not sick) maybe around 26-32 weeks. And then after that the discomfort and insomnia kicks in. I'd give birth every day for a week rather than being pregnant for 9 months!

I agree!! I'm 16w1d and I'm nauseous most days (puking has lessened!)

I hate it!! I'm looking forward to 20w and the third trimester because it's in the home stretch!

Re: Let's start a petition

I feel for everybody, I do...but 1st tri wasn't bad, then BAM! Bleeding and bedrest, no income (from me) and heartburn that I'm pretty sure is going to corrode my insides. If this is the "sweet spot" of pregnancy, you-all can keep it

I'm with you ladies. I love the fact that I can make babies but I don't love the actual process. I am 33 weeks pregnant and rarely get a decent night's sleep, plus I'm still throwing up about once a week. And the heartburn with this one has been constant. With DS, I had such terrible joint pain I couldn't walk, sit or stand comfortably for the last 2/3 or the pregnancy and I had months if postpartum complications. Again, I'm blessed to get babies...but this will almost certainly be my last pregnancy.

There's hope! My first was a total nightmare for the first 6 months. It was awful. The next three were sweet, delightful newborns. I love newborns now, but I could never have imagined that I would ever feel that way before #2 was born.
