How many hours of sleep does your lo get a night?

My dd only sleeps a total (including nap-time during the day) of 10 hours! Neither me nor my mother require a lot of sleep though. Does this seem normal?

Every child is different, so if she is growing well, maybe it's okay. I would think she would need at least 12 including naps. Both of my DS are sleepers... they sleep a minimum of 11-12 hrs at night, and my 8 1/2 mo old takes two naps, about 2-3 hrs total, and my 2 yo takes one nap a day, about 2 hrs worth.

My 2.5 yo sleeps 12 at night and 2 for a nap. My 8 mo 12 at night (waking once to nurse) and 2 or 3 during the day. 10 hrs total for your dc's age does seem a little low to me, but I guess some kids just need less sleep.

sleep depends on the kid i think..my 8yo used to sleep 12hrs at night AND take a2-3hr nap...joe (16months) sleeps about maybe 10ish hrs and wakes a few times to nurse, he takes a 1-2 nap.

it all depends on him..if hes sleeping I dont wake him unless I NEED to (dr is usually the ONLY tieme theres a NEED here) but there are some times that he only take a 30min nap and only sleeps a few hours at night..it all depends on him. (hes 2 btw)

About 10-12 at night and maybe two hours durring the day!!

Max is 5 and sleeps from 8pm-7am so that's 11 hours.

Jack sleeps from 6:30pm-6:30am and naps from 12-3 so that's 15 hours. He's 21 months old.

DD sleeps 14 hours a night at 21 months.

She used to sleep 18+ hours a day so we are MUCH happier with the 16 a day she's getting now.

I think it's different for each child.

DD is 14 months and sleeps 12 hours a night and then 2 hours worth of naps during the day.
