baby gets hiccups in utero every day!

I think my kids must be prone to hiccups as babies. each of my pregnancies, they get them every day, and this one is no exception! Sometimes, they get them a couple times a day, and I can tell it angers them even in utero! They will hiccup several times, then I feel them stretching and moving in there.

When they are born, they get them the first few months as well all the time, and they will hiccup a few times, then cry.

I feel so bad I can't comfort my unborn baby when he gets the hiccups

My DD#1 got hiccups every single day. I said it was from her being greedy and drinking up the water. She'll be 14 next week and she doesn't get them daily any more but when she does get them, run for cover! They are SO. LOUD. LOL

My DS got them everyday and around the same times each day. I was intrigued at how he still got them at those same times after he was born too. This baby gets them everyday around the same time too...we'll see if her patterns also continue once she is an outside baby :-)

My youngest daughter had hiccups at the same time every evening in utero. It happened after she was born for about a month. I figure my womb was probably as comforting as my arms

my toddler has been getting them when eating solids and doesn't seem to know that she doesn't need to get upset with it, yet I didn't seem to ever notice in utero with any of my 3. My last was the biggest too.

My DS inside me gets them often. He doesn't seem mind them that much. DS outside of me got them inside me and outside of me and now at 4 years old he STILL gets mad at them. The 4 year old got them yesterday in the middle of an ultrasound of YDS and thank goodness I had water for him to drink. He is normally good but hiccups send him over the edge!

Re: baby gets hiccups in utero every day!

Have any of you mamas tried gripe water? DD1 hated hiccups inside and out (still gets irritated about them now and she's almost 6), anyways the gripe water got rid of them almost instantly when we gave it to her. All 3 of my babies have gotten them tons in utero and varying frequency outside. Gripe water has worked to take them away whenever we use it with all of them. Also DH has strong persistant hiccups when he gets them and he tried the gripe water too, got rid of them right away!
