We liked Thirsties xs and Bummis newborn size. Perfect fit around the umbilical stump.

Sweet Pea newborn ones have double gussets and an adjustable rise!

I felt the thirsties xs were a little too big for the first few weeks.

This. I loved the fit from about 9-14 lbs, but when I put them on my 7 lb-er, they actually fell right off when I picked her up, even with the velcro as tight as it goes. I think I'd go with the size 1s next time.

I remember liking NB Bummis Whisper Wraps. And Super Snaps. Even on my big kid (9.5lbs at birth, 22"), the Thirsties Duo Size 1 seemed a bit big to me.
