Scared because DS was too easy to cloth diaper...

So reading posts I'm getting worried, what if this LO isn't a easy diaperer like DS.

I had it too easy.. no sensitivities to material or detergent, penis naturally pointed down, wasn't a heavy wetter (surprising considering how large his bladder is), didn't mind being wet, never went though a remove my velcro diaper phase. He even liked being parttime EC so potty learned reasonably well.

The hardest thing we dealt with was the wiggly 6m phase where using prefolds got tough (both snappi on and tri-fold) and we gave up and started using AI2. That is nothing. In fact at the time I was a little disappointed just because I bought a set of sized up prefolds that we barely used but I ended using them trifolded when he was older so ended up being no loss.

It can't be this easy again

All 3 of mine have been easy - and I can't thank genetics.

I just found a diaper I love (BG 3.0 and 4.0) and used them on all 3. Easy peasy.

Yep, both of mine did great. DD had baby eczema and senstive skin but the diapers didn't mess with her skin at all.

Re: Scared because DS was too easy to cloth diaper...

both of mine were fine! DS1 was a heavy wetter, but I just changed more frequently. We never had any of the laundry/stink issues either. My husband and I work full time and our kids were only 18 months apart so were both in diapers together for 9 months or so and I've found CD to be extremely easy.

I will say, with DS1 I was way more into it and had a million different kinds of diapers and would use fitted's or fancy flat folds, then our "easy" diapers were pockets. After DS2 was born I didn't have the time (or care) about all that stuff so I streamlined to tri folded prefolds then once DS1 was out of diapers I bought DS2 some BG freetime's which I really like. I don't think DS2 has ever been in a fitted or had a fancy flat fold... and stuffing the pockets was so not happening either.

But the diapering and kids themselves were very easy.

Re: Scared because DS was too easy to cloth diaper...

I enjoyed reading all of the posts about cloth diapering. I am very interested in CD this time around. Our son will turn 12 this fall and we have been blessed with a little girl coming late November (our lil' turkey). If any of you mommies can give me advice on CD I would be very grateful. I didn't CD my son but I plan to stay home with my daughter and hope that CD will be a success for us.
Thanks,
Tobi

Definitely to check out the diaper chatter forum. Lots of CD info there.
