This is why my vote is 2. I have 2 and that's good for us.

3 isn't fun here. We have 3 boys, and there is always an odd man out, someone is always being "excluded" or picked on. Pairs would be far easier. We welcomed #4 happily and got a #5 as a bonus!

Re: Three or Four?

I'm debating going from 2 to 3. I would prefer 4, but that's out of the question. My kids have both been super high needs crappy sleepers. As toddlers, they are WILD! We can't afford the lifestyle we want with 4. Three would be enough of a stretch. We're ttc number 3 and I even change my mind on that from time to time! I do hate the odd number thing, though.

4 if you can swing it! 3 is kind of awkward? I wish that our last wasn't so high needs. I would like a 4th

Re: Three or Four?

LOVE the answers in this thread! We have 2-one boy, one girl. I am contemplating a third, though honestly, I don't like the odd numbers. someone will get left out.
But emotionally, physically and financially I cannot do 4. So it would have to stay at 2 or be 3 kids. Though I'd love to cuddle another squish, I think I may be done at 2 just cause some days I want to scream with just the 2 kids. I would lose my mind with 3. And I'm afraid I can't give enough to each child if I have 3.
But this is just me personally. I know there are many good mamas who have 3, 4, 6, whatever kids.

3 was perfect for us. Then we got surprise number 4 he isn't even here yet but I'm so tired! Ha ha, once we get rolling with 4 then 4 will be perfect for us. Out first two are 2 years apart then there is a 4 year gap then the younger two will be 2 years apart. I'm sure it will work out just fine. Right now everyone has their own room so trying to figure out where to stick the baby has been challenging but both of our (paid off, thank God!) Cars work for 4 or 5 kids.
