Re: Seriously thinking of just giving up!

I think you need a break!
I would just go with sposies for at least a week straight.
Then reevaluate.

Re: Seriously thinking of just giving up!

i found this for you on bumkins. they are talking about AIO's but it does say the outer layer is polyester so id assume its the same fabric they use on the outside of their covers

"Made in the USA, the Bumkins consists in six layers of cotton flannel for a maximum absorbency, sewn to a waterproof yet breathable polyester outer layer to prevent clothes of getting wet. That is an all-in-one, a single piece diaper/nappy which is the more look-alike disposable diaper. Attached with velcros, there can’t be any miss-match!"

I had one son who reacted to wearing cloth overnight. No matter what I did. He didn't react during the day, though. I know it can be frustrating to figure out.

aww mama - maybe you can just kep using pf's and find a good cover that works for you? Have you tried cotton waterproof Nikky covers? If your ds is at least 20 lbs, I have some in EUC!

WCW puts two layers in her pull on soakers (interlock)....bullet proof at night even if he's laying on his belly so i can't imagine it would wick even while being worn hope you figure something out even if it is just going to sposies

Re: Seriously thinking of just giving up!

Try nylon mama! Bummis whisper pants are cheap. I have 2 and they work great. They are very full cut so don't size up. Also, I love my side snap alexis featherlite! I know they don't make them any more but I got one of fsot for 2.50 I think or you could try ebay.
I know how frustrating it is when your baby has sensitive skin. After spending almost $500 on my stash they started repelling, smelling and causing my baby to have rash after rash. I had to put her back in sposies for over a month , which I hated to do. I am slowly moving back to cloth and everything seems to be going well

He's only 6 months he MIGHT grow out of the allergy right.

No time to read all the replies, so sry if I'm repeating, but
A: no--I wouldn't part w/ the ZZs either. He absolutely can outgrow the allergy. I was deathly allergic to cats and now sleep w/ one every night.
B: what about allergy shots? to build up an immunity? seems like he'll be crazy inconvenienced for the rest of his life if he's so allergic to such common things. think about even the plastic items used in medical treatments. ugh.
Poor you and DS
