My midwife gave me homeopathic black choose. I'm not sure if it worked or not. I know EPO helped to soften my cervix a lot. She recommended acupuncture when we were getting down to the wire but I didn't end up needing it.

Re: Castor oil induction (and other natural induction methods)

I did castor oil and was stripped. I had him in less than 12 hours.

eta: i was already 4 cm so it just pushed me over the edge.

I would do it again in a heart beat.

Got checked today, I'm 3cm and very soft she said. She used a ton of evening primrose oil and I'm having contractions now and bleeding.

She gave me castor oil and instructions for tomorrow if the epo doesnt do it tonight. Feeling sooo much better now. Plus I have til Saturday instead of Friday, they can do through 41+6 not 5

That's what we used, I believe, when the castor oil failed to keep me contracting regularly. I took it for most of a day, and then my baby was born that night. I have no idea what actually worked. For all I know it was the nap or the shower, but I think that stuff definitely kept me contracting.

Midwife told me to take 4oz within 2 hours. I'm pretty cleaned out already so i didnt feel comfortable taking that much. I've been taking a tablespoon per hour and a half, 2 doses so far. Hoping something happens soon

I wouldn't even take that much, all it's really gonna do is give you abdominal cramps, and intestinal cramps, and it's gonna hurt if nothing is in there to push out. I would stop taking it to be honest. I tried it with my 2nd, and it cleaned me out, but I didn't go into labor for another few days. I would only take as much as you have taken and wait. Cause really its gonna just hurt if you take too much.

I think you have to take the full dose to work. I had tried 2 oz, nothing happened. Took 4 oz, went for a long walk, and labor started. I did need an epidural for that birth (out of three). Good luck!!

Thank you(:

So weird to have an induction scheduled, but I have one now scheduled for Sunday. Hopefully he'll come before then. Will be doing 4oz of castor oil tomorrow if he doesn't come tonight
