So tired!

I have been so insanely tired the last few days. How do you combat the first trimester drowsiness? What I wouldn't give for a gallon of coffee right now. Ugh.

Re: So tired!

Nothing helped me until the second trimester came up. I would fall asleep in the middle of the day and wake up even more tired then before!
I had this with my last baby as well.
I'm creeping on the second trimester now, and starting to feel better, but still don't have my normal energy back. Totally sucks!!!

If you find the "cure" let me know. Nothing helped me in 1st trimester. I slept 14-15 hours a day and still felt tired!!! And it lasted until about 16 weeks. I'm trying to take advantage of the 2nd trimester before I hit exhaustion again.

Re: So tired!

It's all the progesterone flooding your system. I am such a tired mess for about 24 weeks. My house goes to he** in a hand basket, and I'm usually very clean and organized. My kids watch tons of TV and I sit around on my butt. So I guess you should too! LOL!

Re: So tired!

That was my main pregnancy symptom in the beginning and I just took a nap pretty much every day. Nothing else helped (and heck, even after taking a nap I was still tired).

Re: So tired!

I had the same problem in my first trimester. Luckily, I was out of work at the time so I was able to sleep when I needed to, but it ended up being all I did. No matter how much I slept, it never seemed to be enough. It was a little better in the second trimester, but I also started working again so I was able to get into a routine. Now in my third trimester, when I'm not working, I sleep all the time. I hate wasting my days away, but I feel like I cannot keep my eyes open most of the time. Ugh. I hope it gets better for you. <3

Re: So tired!

I went to doing the minimum for housework, etc., and tried to take naps when I could and go to bed earlier to try to get more sleep. I also made sure to take my vitamins & eat as healthy as my stomach would allow to try to make sure I got enough calories to keep me going. I still felt more tired than normal and had no motivation to do anything (and creeping back to that now in the third tri!), but at least I could function at work & do the bare essentials and let DH take care of the rest.
