Endometriosis Diet?

Hello. I have endometriosis (either stage 3 or 4, never had lap but I have endometriomas in both ovaries). Has anyone with endo tried the endo diet? Did it help with pain? Did it help you conceive?

My third cycle with a donor was unsuccessful and although I know it can take much longer than 3 cycles I'm willing to try anything!

Re: Endometriosis Diet?

I have not heard of a diet, but I will say that I had several surgeries for endo. and then found T&C Formula at MountainMeadowherbs.com and I took that for 3 mos (3 4oz bottles last 3 mos), and it took away my endo (this has worked 3 times for me--the first 2 times I became pregnant after only 1 month of using the T&C, so far I am not pregnant, but at least my excruciating pain is gone!! It was much cheaper and more effective than surgeries. Also, my Gyn is the one who told me she did not find any endo. on examination (when she had found it the previous year)--she was kinda funny, writing down exactly what I used and where I bought it from--I hope she shares it with other ladies with Endo. Hope it helps you as well

Re: Endometriosis Diet?

Thanks! I will check it out! My doctor is refusing to do surgery until I'm older (currently 25) so I'm willing to try anything in the mean time!

Re: Endometriosis Diet?

How do you know what stage it is if you haven't had the surgery? That is something they determine during it, it's very hard to diagnose the disease any other way. I have had the surgery twice. The first time I was 25 the second time was at 30, both were emensly helpful. I will probably need to have it one to two more times before they just do a hysterectomy but my dr would like me to be in my late 30's before he does that. Now with that said, I have adjusted my diet. I decided about 6 months ago to do a fertility diet, then about 3 months ago went completely gluten free. I got pregnant last month. So I think diet certainly helped, along with injectable fertility meds to help me O. But I had also had the surgery to make sure my tubes were open. One tube wasn't prior to the second surgery and they opened it up. The ovary that has the worst endo on it also wasn't ovulating prior to the surgery. So you can eat as well as you want, but if things are blocked it won't work. The egg has to be able to get out.

Re: Endometriosis Diet?

The doctor knows I'm either stage 3 or 4 because of the endometriomas. They are only present in those stages. I asked my specialist for a HSG but he said no.... he said that he wants me to do three IUIs first. I'm doing ICIs instead right now (cheaper) and I can't see him again until summer anyway so if I'm not pregnant by then I will have an HSG done.
