-EDD: June 5th
-Your Name: Jesse
-Age: 25
-State or Country: Minnesota
-How long it took to you to get your BFP:4 cycles I think... :/
-What number child is this for you: #2
-Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH is Dan, our DD Abbey will be 5 this month
-Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I want another girl. DH wants a boy. My sis is positive I'm having a girl. DD wants a sister and already calls her baby sister Emmy. The names we had picked out already started with M, so DH and I call the bean M.
-Birth Plans/Preferences: Unmedicated hospital birth (I had an epidural last time and I felt so helpless. It sucked. They gave me pitocin and I didn't really need it. Young(er) and naive. Now I know what I want and don't.)

Re: June Bugs Get to Know You

EDD: June 12, 2014
Your Name: Alayna
Age: 31
State or Country: Ontario, Canada
How long it took to you to get your BFP: a while
What number child is this for you: 2
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH and I have been together for 13 years and married for 7 years. DS is a busy 3 year old now.
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I have no preference. I just want this little one to arrive
Birth Plans/Preferences: I had a c-section with DS for multiple reasons: induction didn't go well, he was face up and on an angle, and I had a massive infection and spiked a fever 3 days into labour. I would love a VBAC, but I'm not making any decisions until I talk to the doctor about the realistic chance of success and the risks involved. A VBAC would be ideal, but a repeat c-section would be better than a failed VBAC resulting in an emergency c-section. I suspect I will wait until closer to the end when we have an idea of how big the baby is and whether his/her position is appropriate for a VBAC.

Anything else you'd like to share: After being a SAHM since becoming pregnant with DS, I went back to work in April of this year. I love my job and am looking forward to balancing pregnancy and an infant with my career this time. As a result, I can't visit this board as often as I would like. I'll do my best to keep up, but I probably won't post very much during the work day.

Re: June Bugs Get to Know You

Well hello there!

EDD: June 20th (based on LMP)
Your Name: Melissa
Age: 31
State or Country: Los Angeles, California
How long it took to you to get your BFP: six weeks post IUD removal
What number child is this for you: 2
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DS (turning 2 this week)
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I won't lie... I'd love a girl!
Birth Plans/Preferences: I am so very conflicted about whether or not to consider VBAC. We went in last time with a doula and a natural birth-friendly doc, but ended up with a baby who was distressed even in the earliest labor and our doula (who has 25+ years of experience) and two docs all recommended a c-section. I was not "tested" as the contractions were still very mild so it's unclear whether or not I'll be a good candidate. One doc has already recommended VBAC, I'll see what the other (more experienced) doc says at my appointment in two weeks. The scheduled c-section removes the uncertainty and would not lead to the damage of yet another part of my body so to speak, but on the other hand it entails a more arduous recovery and runs the risk of the same NICU-related separation that DS and I had last time that I think caused real bonding delays.
Anything else you'd like to share:Currently taking 125mcg synthroid. I'm eager to hear how my doc recommends balancing the empty-stomach requirement with the nausea I'm already experiencing.
