diapers at night

Okay so DS nurses a lot at night. No biggie. Except that its too much for a sposie. I only use cloth during the day but cannot imagine changing him often at night.

So, at about 4 or 5am, I have to change him or he will leak before morning. But that means he wakes up. And then getting him back down messes up the night rhythm.

What do you guys do?

I did size up no diapers seem to be able to handle 5 nursing sessions.

I don't think I've ever seen such bad reviews for a product such as what amazon has for the nightime diapers

Yowza!

Re: diapers at night

It's not bfing-related, just that I had a super-pee-er. We sized up & used the Huggies Overnights (I like the Wal-Mart overnights just as well). When DD was peeing through those during teething, I looked & found sposie doublers on BRU. I never did get them, but they're available. Also, a fleece or wool soaker over top might help, as well as having him sleep on some sort of absorbent/waterproof bedpad. It's not perfect, but it might help...super pee-ers are kind of a drag

I know when DP was still BFing, she did a middle of the night change just so she wasn't dealing w/ a 4-5am change where DD wouldn't go back down...she was waking at 1 or 2 for a feeding anyway, so did a change then.

Re: diapers at night

I change diapers at night whenever I breastfeed- I just change him first and the he will fall asleep while I am feeding him.

This is what I'm doing at 4/5am. But he screams during the change which wakes up the 3yo or he just wakes up and then treats the next part of the night like a nap.

I guess there's no way around it.

I did find those sposie doublers and might try that.

Thanks all
