I hope so too! We were naming our kids with old fashioned names while people were choosing more popular names but recently more classic names have started to get really popular. . It's all cyclical though, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Yeah it really is. And a lot of times they become very popular in certain U.S. states, not spread out evenly everywhere. I had no idea how popular Liam was getting until after I named him. But hey, I still haven't met another Liam myself and it fits him popular or not so you just have to go with what you like!

I personally hate the name Dee. That was a compromise with DH though so he would go with Donald . I feel like it makes it hard to tell if it's Dee or D. They sound exactly the same.

Also, it's not too similar to Claire? I think Carole and Claire sound similar

Re: Anyone thinking names yet?

Our list from DS (Oliver William) also included:
Eleanor
Adelaide
Margaret
Henry

We need to sit down and think of more options at some point, but we aren't going to until we're a bit further along.

Re: Anyone thinking names yet?

My hubby loves the name Adelaide, but I know someone with that name. I try to use names that no one I know has the name. Which makes it really hard, I know way too many people.I Also love the name Lucy, I have for years. But she is my best friends (who passed) daughter.Poor girl was motherless at age 4. Still heartbreaking to think about her being gone.

Re: Anyone thinking names yet?

I can't believe the one name I like so far is in the top names. How did that happen?

Twilight. That's how!

ETA: I used to like Jacob but Twilight ruined it for me too!
