so I'm curious about pregnancy symptoms..

So I'm super curious! Only because I have 2 sweet baby girls already and I'm early in pregnancy for #3 and I oh so want a boy! But!!!! My mom reallt buys into this whole different syptoms mean a certain sex!

So if you have more then 1 baby were your symptoms/prenancy similar with certain sexes? Or was each one completely different?!

Re: so I'm curious about pregnancy symptoms..

My symptoms gave me clues to their genders. With my boys (pregnancies #1 and 2) I was nauseous in the mornings only, from about 6-12 weeks. With my DD (pregnancy #3), I was nauseous all day long, from about 6-18 weeks. I know this doesn't hold true for everyone but it did for me!

I think there's truth to being more sick with a girl. The reasoning is that you have double female hormones or something. Anecdotally, with my friends the ones who get sick for longer and/or more severe have girls. Then there's the blogger, Girls Gone Child, that was laid out for weeks and she ended up being pregnant with girl/girl twins.

From what I have read there is no link unless the child has a different father.

With my first I didn't ever get sick.(no puking and no symptoms at all) She has a different bio dad than my other 6 who have the same father. I had severe Hg with all of my last 6 babies. One was a boy and 5 were girls. The hg was pretty much as severe with all of them.

Re: so I'm curious about pregnancy symptoms..

I was sick with both dd and ds just about the same. The only differences I found were that when I finally wasn't sick anymore (20wks) with ds, I really wanted meat. Not all the time but boy when a steak or hamburger sounded good...I had to have one soon! Lol. It wasn't like that with dd at all. I craved sweets once in awhile with both but probably a little more with dd. Also the heartbeat rang true to myth for me...but not until I was 20 wks along. DDs hb was always around 150. DSs hb was around 150s until 20wks, so I thought with all the sickness again I was having a girl. At my 20wk us the hb changed to 140s and stayed there for the rest of the pregnancy.

Most of mine have been similar but with my 5th I was debilitatingly nauseous for 5 months. I had to take meds for it for the first time just to function. I was sure I was having a girl, but nope. I blamed it on age until this pregnancy which was back to normal, so I have no idea what was up with #5. Just grateful it didn't happen again. That was no fun!
