Talk newborn to me...

I know there have been a million threads like this, but we just got a HUGE surprise and found out we're expecting number 4 way earlier than I was anticipating. We're pretty sure this will be our last baby so it's my last chance at newborn diapers. I didn't find anything I really liked when DD was born so I was hoping to find something this time. I tried:
-prefolds
-proraps covers
-grovia newborn AIO
-GMD newborn workhorse
-Bumkins newborn cover
-Alva newborn pockets
-Literaps cover
-random WAHM fitteds
-Kissaluv size 0

Everything either leaked or was super bulky. Any other things I should try this time? I'm especially interested in THX or other cheap ones, but I really want something the baby isn't going to pee out of within five minutes.

They just redesigned the Grovia's so they won't wick. I wouldn't be so quick to write them off this time... Also, if you can catch the BG XS during a second's sale between now and when you are due you will probably get most of your money back when you sell. They were probably my favorite for trimness.

I have to second the BG XS I loved them with my NB.No leaks, dad proof and very trim.FB XS worked great too.
We are expecting so I'm snatching up BG in any color because they were perfect for that stage.

I didn't like xs bg's... I have 9 pound babies and they don't fit long and they outpee them quickly. I hated little joeys the most, same issues! Grovia took forever to dry IMO. My favorite were the mini one size hh's!!! Easy for nights, good absorbency, and lasted longest. I am due in April and have prefolds, flip nb covers, capri covers, hh mini one size, and some nb simplex which look awesome!

Newborn Simplex have great reviews right now. They run a little larger. Also Nana's Bottoms are popular for newbies.

I am going with a mostly prefold stash- they are kind of bulky but they work and baby will not be in them for long.

What size prefolds did you have?

ME XS Sandy's bamboo
Bamboo prefolds
Not sure which covers yet, we might just use mostly wool, but does Flip have a NB cover coming, or was the Econobum?
I want to try GroVia newborns
I love wool!

I am also curious about:
RAR NB covers
GMD NB WH organic
Simplex AIOs

Re: Talk newborn to me...

Oh yeah, I forgot about BG XS's. I had some smalls when DS2 was a baby--he fit into them by 2 or 3 weeks 'cause he was huge--and I loved them. I still have them somewhere. I'll keep an eye out for XS's for sure! I also forgot about newborn Simplex--I definitely wanna try those, but I don't know how many I can afford. And Nana's bottoms are a good option too. Thanks for the suggestions!
