Re: Maternity clothes anyone?

The nice thing about being tall with a long torso is that I have lots of room for baby to grow, so it takes a while before I need maternity clothes, so I'm still in regular. I do hate those first few months of not fitting in regular jeans but needing maternity, though. The maternity jeans never fit right until you have a very obvious baby belly, IMO.

Ditto..I'm 5'1" any extra weight really shows and I am so mad at myself for gaining weight before this pregnancy. Otherwise my clothes would still be fitting fine.

I'm 5'6 with a short waist. And yeah, no more wearing my jeans I can't even do up the zipper. But my mat pants are uncomfortable. The panel even if I fold it down makes me feel sick, and I gag. Weird. And anything touching my throat does the same thing.
Yoga pants for me so far, and if I actually get out of the house it's a skirt, or I bear with the mat pants.

I'm 5'9"! Can you imagine 7 more inches for your baby to grow (haha obviously not all 7 inches go to my torso, but it is interesting to think about how much those extra inches help!)

I can only dream! The distance from the top of my hip to the bottom of my rib is only about 2".

Re: Maternity clothes anyone?

My jeans all retired this week. Living in sweats and yoga pants until I find proper bottoms. This is my first pregnancy during the cold, and I have yet to venture out to find pants. Where are all the nice maternity jeans?

I tried some on last week and the legs were just all spandex. Rubber jeans!

Last pregnancy my only jeans were from Motherhood. They were nice, proper jean material. This time I ordered 2 pairs from Old Navy. They don't look 'maternity-ish' at all and I'm happy with them. Unfortunately they're a little saggy but I find maternity pants to be saggy my whole pregnancy. I guess I don't have enough butt to hold them up... Lol

Re: Maternity clothes anyone?

I was pretty happy with the Motherhood Maternity jeans last time. I got some with an under-belly knitted waistband. They worked well for me because I couldn't support a full panel until ~24 weeks and they were also perfect for post-partum. I actually bought mine at Macy's because they allow returns, unlike the Motherhood store.

Thankfully I can still fit my jeans. Work pants are another story...
