That's why I do it. My only fear is that we'll have a poop blowout and that it will get on the shorties. It hasn't happened yet, but I take wool wash just in case.

I've done it a number of times. Most people just think that my wool stuff is "cute little pants". They don't understand the functional purpose of it anyway.
