Re: When is the beat time to go to disney?

We stayed at the campground! But we were in a cabin. I really enjoyed it. It's a great value for a family of 6.

Terra, you need to come to Disneyland. And we could hang out.

We are going in September. I am hoping it is slower than usual.

I agree with the above. Any time but summer always gets my vote.
I think Feb is our favorite.
Early December is nice if you want to see the Christmas stuff.

Sorry for the typo should be *best time.
Also I am talking about Disney world, FL. I am seeing tons of groupons for hotels near Disney. Not sure if we will go this year or next. I don't want to spend a fortune. I grew up in FL and while Disney is awesome, I want to be reasonable about it (ie spending money, length of stay). But it is a fun experience. But the crowds-oy. Thanks everyone for your responses!

Re: When is the beat time to go to disney?

Always! Haha. It was March when we went with kids. Good weather. Not even remotely hot. The kids loved it. Wasn't too busy. We only saw lines really in Cars Land.

My tip: Stay in a Disneyland resort hotel. It's waaay worth it for convenience. You won't need a rental car, you can monorail back for nap time if you want/need to. Characters roam the halls. You get in early to the parks. I can't imagine doing it another way.

We went just the two of us to Disney World a couple years back. That we did at an off sight hotel and whatnot. Lots more walking. It as June so it was very hot. Was super fun but wouldn't have worked with small kids.

Re: When is the beat time to go to disney?

We went this past March in the middle of the month and it was great. We did 4 days in the parks- one day for each park (we did Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios) and it was just enough where we didn't get burned out with shuffling 4 kids around Disney World

Re: When is the beat time to go to disney?

Our best trips there have been in Sept. It is terribly hot, but we are in NC anyway and used to the heat by Sept.
We didn't like our trip in May very much. Too much time spent waiting in lines.
Late February was the same.

We did Universal the first week of Dec. a couple of years ago and spent almost no time waiting. Some rides the kids just kept getting back on with no wait at all.

Re: When is the beat time to go to disney?

We have gone twice in September (2010,2012) and gotten Free Dining and it was pretty perfect. The crowds were pretty low, most rides had no or very low wait times and fast passes didn't run out super quick. It was a bit warm but nothing unbearable. I don't know how much will change now that Fantasy Land is finishing up but Sept was wonderful for us. I am starting College in the Spring so Sept might be out for us from now on I am thinking of a Mid-January 2015 trip and hoping that is just as slow (or at least not super crazy )

Re: When is the beat time to go to disney?

We went the first week of May and it was awesome. Warm enough to swim but not ridiculous. Loved it!

Went the third week of October and it was mobbed--every room on property was sold out according to the All Stars front desk who was turning people away (Fall break) and went the first week of April and it was miserably crowded (spring break).
