I think we're done

DD2 is 13 months old and has only been nursing at night for about a month. She's been pretty ambivalent about it for a few weeks. Sometimes she doesn't care other times she's unmatched and clapped. Tonight she was extra tired and kept latching on then pulling off and crying. I knew my supply had dropped, and it clearly wasn't meeting her wants tonight. Not how I really wanted this to end, but don't know what else I can do.

My Mood:
Is she teething? Maybe that would explain the fussing?
Also do you only want her to nurse at nights? I nurse mine for a long time so at 13 months mine are nursing all the time. If you dont want to wean you could offer more often, but if you are limiting her to just nights it might be more of a struggle to get her more interested.
Good luck and I hope it goes the way you want it to

Her molars are coming in, but they have been for over a month now. She's no longer pulling off and crying...that seemed to be a one night thing. I'm fine if we are done, and I'm fine to keep nursing. I just don't want it to end on a bad note.
She only nurses at night because I no longer pump at work, and when I get home she wants to play hard together and has no interest in nursing then.
So, still bit sure what's going on, but she's happy now and so am I

My Mood:
Good I'm glad it's working out.
My mom always said the sad part about weaning is you never know which is the last time they nurse until they have stopped and then you wish you had known it was the last time because you would have savored it more

Wow...so true. My LO is still very young, but I can imagine that I'll feel sad when she weans.
