Baby is 12 weeks today and AF is back??? Seriously?!
Well, the title says it all! My Izzy turns 12 weeks today and two big things happened.
1) Izzy discovered her feet 2) Mommy got AF I thought us Mommys who EBF could usually expect no AF until baby weaned or at least was down to feeding less than every 4 hours???? Why am I one of the (un)lucky ones??? ![]() Advertisement |

Re: Baby is 12 weeks today and AF is back??? Seriously?!
I completely understand mama. I usually don't end pp until 6 weeks after baby is born and with dd 2 weeks later AF was back. I also EBF until DD was 6months, and continued to BF until she was about 2 weeks from being a year old. Needless to say Dh and I were planning on trying to get preggo after the first of the year and it wasn't hard at all. Got preggo in Jan.

Nope...not always...with DJ, I got AF back when he was FOUR weeks old. CRAZY!!! And he was definitely feeding more than every four hours. It stayed away with James for about 6 months but he was still feeding more often when it came back. You're just one of the lucky ones I guess. My neighbor's sister had a little girl last summer and then immediately got preggo with twins. I don't even see how it's physically possible but her due date with the twins was less than 10 months after her daughter's birthday and she was ebf. Lucky, right?

Luckily, that won't happen to me since I'm not yet ready to let my DH near me. But, that's a whole other thread................ ![]() |

Re: Baby is 12 weeks today and AF is back??? Seriously?!
How frustrating! But, obviously, it does happen. With my DD, I got it back when she was 8 months old. (I BF'd her until she was nearly 20 months old) Which was ok, because we wanted to TTC once she turned one - so it gave my body some time to get back into the swing of things... I haven't seen AF yet since my son was born, but I'm assuming I'll get it back around the same time.

AF arrived 11 weeks postpartum with dd#1 and 4 months with dd#2. I thought I had hit the goldmine making it to 4 month - lol.
Hugs! I hated getting it back so quickly.

Yep happened to me both times. It sucks. This is why I could never do with BC of some form because I would have babies twice a year.
