Nursing Strike? Weaning?

Hi All! This is my first time posting here. My son (6mo) has recently started fussing or flat out refusing to eat during the day. He eventually eats but it's a battle almost every time. He's fine at night. Is this a nursing strike?

Has he learned to crawl recently? This happens when a baby accomplishes a new milestone like crawling, walking, running, jumping. The outside world is so fun for them exploring they don't want to sit and eat alot of times. When he refuses let him try 20 min later. When he's hungry he will nurse. Babies don't starve themselves. Also it could also be impending AF coming or could it be possibly be a new pregnancy if your not using any preotection. Your milk changes taste durig both these times and some babies are more sensitive to the taste change.

He hasn't started to crawl but he has gotten more mobile. (wiggly, reaching, scooting) so maybe that's it. It's def not AF (btdt) or (gulp) pregnancy lol

Just take it day by day and stick with it.

Re: Nursing Strike? Weaning?

When my son was on a nursing strike for a few days at that age, I finally figured out I was able to offer him an ounce in a bottle, and then switch over to the breast. Not sure why it worked, but it did.

Another idea: Is your letdown stronger during the day? Is it coming out too fast for him at first? I doubt this is it, since it came on all of a sudden, but just throwing it out there.
